MySql problem...Anyone an expert?
 

using Phpmyadmin on redhat linux with apache.

go to create a new database, and here's the error:
#1006 - Can't create database 'newdatabase' (errno: 13)

1006 is Error: 1006 SQLSTATE: HY000 (ER_CANT_CREATE_DB)

someone please flex their muscles here and tell me what the issue is, I must be overlooking somthing stupid.

Check your discspace, or when you're using InnoDB your innodb table space.

depends on your privileges too. Are you root or does your grant have the right to make new database?

your the man...stupid CHOWN! It wasn't owned by root, it's a brand new installation.
