Why? 1and1 isn't bad at all. They are transfer nazis, I'll give them that, but they have most the problems with their service fixed now. Now they even notify you when your domains are about to expire :1orglaugh Seriously... that was about the biggest beef I had with them was they wouldn't tell you when your shit was going to expire, but now that they have that sorted through I really see no reason to use them for the majority of personal projects. $5.95 domains really can't be beat, and with FREE ID protection, why the fuck not?

Ya, godaddy fuckled up 2 domain regs. I did a couple days ago. But one quick email to my account rep. there and he fixed it and gave me both domains for a year, free.

I hear alot of piss and moan about godaddy but I've been using them for years. Not one problem to speak of.

i have been using godaddy since i start working online (Y2K)... i have at least 50 domains.. not too much i know, but no problems with godaddy at all..
i hate the long process to buy a single domain (if u are logged in, u should be able to set up a defaut buying macro, or something) , but besides that, no complains...
