The premise of this thread was stupid from the get go - like the Bush Administration would nuke oil fields, which they apparently covet more than human life, democracy and freedom.

But those sad and horrific pictures certainly send home the message about the evil of nuclear weapons.

While some of you laugh and try to give the appearance of having no compassion for others, keep in mind that radiation doesn't discriminate, nor does it stay confined to one small area.

I wonder if any of the macho keyboard warriors that say "nuke them" could imagine that the child in those photos was their own child. I would not wish that kind of pain upon any person.

Granted, there are people in the Middle East that would be happy to wreck the same amount of grief upon this country as some of you wish upon them, but fortunately they (like you) are in a small minority.

The tactics we are using in the Middle East are doing little to stop the terrorists, and indeed are probably breeding more terrorists.

We need leaders that use their brains instead of bombs to bring about change. The Bush Administration has failed miserably, they have lied to everyone, and yet people like Rumsfeld, Negroponte and Perle are still in power calling the shots.

I only hope in the next election, that the American people are wise enough to reject the politics of hate and war profiteering, instead of being whipped up into pledging blind allegiance to a path of death and destruction for generations to come.
