Microsoft looks to foil Web spammers
Researchers at Microsoft have developed a tool to scrub search engines of major Web sites that pollute search results and ultimately help clean the Web of spam.

google microsoft and yahoo all basically encourage the worst type of spam in my opinion, that is the buying of previously owned / expired domains for the sole purpose of filling with alternative content ( usually adult and pharm ) , i realise alot of people make money doing this , but if the se's didnt reward these guys you wouldn't see so many irrelevant domains .
It always irks me when i see something like a school domain or a cancer research domain that goes expired and ends up being filled with porn.. this would be fairly easy to spot/catch but they dont, because the more irrelevent the results , the more relevent the ads seem.. Guess why google has never tried this approach very well ... because if you found relevent results you wouldnt use adwords/adsense and they wouldnt make $$$ |
removing spam is impossible.

Hmmmmmm..... pie in the sky sure tastes good. Call me a skeptic and a cynic but I think as long as there's $$$ to be made in "stuffing" search engines with spam people will outthink and outdo Microsoft and whoever else. Just my opinion. Don't hate. :2 cents: :thumbsup
