cpanel / php issue

Hi guys,

I'm working on a machine for someone who has cpanel installed, but I can't seem to figure out how to add/remove extensions for php. Anyone got any ideas?

I would install it through ports (freebsd 4.x) but when you do an upgrade of apache through cpanel it seems to delete the extensions not added by cpanel.

had the same problem once where cpanel wasn't installing or removing the extensions i was selecting, so what i did was install an older version first and then reinstall the new version.

Gotta log in as Root, to Cpanel's WHM interface. On the left column (where all the options are) go down to the Software category, and click Apache Update. You'll be presented with a page on the right full of options to check for Apache/PHP options, it will update to the latest versions for you and configure the modules you've selected.

Note: it completely rebuilds apache and php, so it takes awhile to run. There's not a way through the Cpanel interface to just install the single module since everything is built from source.
