i'am looking for a banner rotation script

Could anyone tell me where to get a good banner rotation script which works with cgi. I'am looking for something which supports mulitple banner spot with different banner groups and the script also has to count the total impressions each banner gets. My
prefference is that you can make that one banner for exampke shows 50% of the time and the second 30% and so on.

I would use php over cgi huge resource improvements, you wont need to open a new thread for every page loaded.

is one of the best php banner rotation scripts.

:thumbsup Ditto on the recommendation of this script but you should download it from here; that link looks like it has an old version of the script.

You might want to have a look at AdCycle. It's Perl and I guarantee it's LOTS faster than that PHP crap (kids stuff). I have been running it at over 250K impressions a day with no problems.

don't get me wrong, adcycle looks good; and I do love perl (you might say that I work for perl and perl works for me ;-) but I'd find it hard to believe that a simple banner server would run faster as a perl cgi than as a mod_php script. If it was running under mod_perl then no question about it, it would be faster (unless it was crap ;-) but as a cgi with the time to compile and the time to re-connect to mysql for every request... unless that php script is real crap-o-la on a stick I'd bet that it would be faster than a perl cgi, wouldn't you think?

cheers

ahh... just read the web site a bit more, looks like it runs as daemons, not a straight cgi. very cool. bet it is a heck of a lot faster. that really does look like a good banner server.

cheers

Ad Juggler used to be a high end script, now it looks like they might be pushing a service, which means it would cost more than it's worth:

I use 2 kind of scripts.
One I've written in php that is really simple to develop, actually, and the second one in Javascript that every 30 seconds replace the banner with a new one.
It's pretty cool since after 30 seconds the page is already loaded and you get more attention of users replacing something they didn't click.

If you want I can post it for you.

Cheers!!!

Argentina rocks!!!
