The guy is a grade A idiot. Read Al Franken books like "The Truth with jokes" and you will see how he is a grade A retard.

He is basically 12clicks with a TV show.

whenever you talk to him just remember to repeat this line to him frequently:
"loud doesn't mean right"

He's a proven liar, but he is so full of himself he probably believes his lies to be true.

his is an asshole who can only control a coversation with verbal assault. I will take him on anyday. :thumbsup Send him home crying to momma.

just make sure you carry a megaphone so when he starts losing and tries to cut off your mic you can use it

I watch his show fairly regularly, but have no respect for him. He claims to be balanced and not aligned with the neo-cons but nearly everything that comes out of his mouth contradicts that.

YES: he's a showman. No different from a drama poster on GFY or any other board. Takes an issue. Finds a hotbutton angle, plays it to the outrage/drama of the other members. It's a call and response mastery that you see played out in any public gathering...whether it's a radio talkshow or a concert or a rally...etc. That's his main gig. Get the reader/viewer excited about the topic. Appeal to common moral outrage. Appeal to "common sense" morality

NO: His ideological inconsistency and pseudo-populism may be a source of ironic humor to some but I find it annoying. The only consistency with him is the smug "I am right" attitude. If he can't battle based on facts, he'll bully based on 'canned moral positioning'.

Ultimately, O'Reilly means one thing--RATINGS!

O'Reilly is a ratings whore. He doesn't believe half the shit he's spewing and neither should anyone watching his show. He's the sigwhore of news and guess what, that in your face type stuff works, even if you don't believe a word of what you're saying.

I like him a hellova lot more than I do Rush Limbaugh or Michael Moore but still .. don't watch his show but maybe once a year.

i dated a girl 2 years ago that was an assistant producer at Foxnews on the Haniity and colmes show...she told me Oreilly is purely ENTERTAINMENT. he does what he does best in the biz and his #s prove it....

I watch him cuz its interesting and he does get top level guests to come on and ask tough questions. Should i watch larry king and listen to him ask questions like, "so what sign are you" "what do you like to eat for sunday dinner" King will never ask a tough question

Just an entertainer who isn't entertaining. I've seen him intimidate and burry lost of people on his show, but he couldn't pull it off with Howard Stern. Stern stayed on top the whole time.
