What would you like to see out of a web designer's website (Such as BLUEWIRE)?????

We will be developing Bluewire Studio V3.0 in the coming month. We have some very unique ideas that we feel will continue to set us apart and provide our clients with the best experience within our industry.

We'd like to open the forum to you (the clients) however....

In your wildest dreams...WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?

- Features?
- Navigation?
- Design?

I'm just going to sit back and soak you guys up like a spunge :thumbsup

jscott 07-12-2006 10:51 PM

simple and easy navigation and impressive work on the portfolio sites

I was just reading a thread earlier where BlueWire (I think) was recommended as a designer familiar with doing great CSS designs. I clicked but didn't really see anything that would highlight any examples of what kind of work BlueWire was capable of doing.

I saw hourly prices which was a little unusual. I'm not a designer, so I am not really sure what that translates to for a job. What would $50/hr mean for example if I were to contract for a free site, a gallery template, a tgp desigh, an affiliate site, a paysite, etc.. at least a ballpark or average breakdown from $xxx - $xxxx or whatever would be nice to know.

working with BlueWire at the moment on a project, would recommend them to anyone... professional approach to project managment is what drew me to use their services.

Brujah 07-12-2006 11:55 PM

hey BlueWire.. ICQ me a minute?

emthree 07-13-2006 12:14 AM

Less fancy shit and more meat and potattoes.

BlueWire 07-13-2006 12:40 AM

My largest question is...

A common response to a question like this on GFY is more emphasis on portfolio...less on a fancy site.

However our mainstream corporate clients who make up the majority of our monthly revenue like the glitz and glam. They look at how much your site impresses them as much or sometimes more than your actual portfolio.

I guess i'll ultimately figure out if we want to show what we can do...or just emphasize our past works...

For now, the main thing I would LOVE to hear from you guys is what feature and functionalities would like to see out of a site like this?

For example, a feature we'll have on our next Bluewire site....we will a small chat box built into the layout which will auto connect you with a representative. If you have a question that happens to pop in your head while you browse and want immediate assistance...there will be someone right there to assist you :thumbsup

Any unique FEATURES that you haven't really seen out there but you would LOVE to see and would make your life much easier?

Please my little gook friend ...Mike knows he owes me money and well, time to pay up or shut up.. Mike did you think I would let you get away with that shit? shall I bring your non-porn clients here? You know..the one ones that love to shoot animals?

cyberstar 07-13-2006 06:58 AM

Brian, forget about fancy features.. chat is a good idea as long as you have ppl online all the time. The only two things designers' portfolio need are great portfolio layout/design + great samples... ppl don't care about anything else

I have no idea what commission you're talking about....I think you've posted about this once before and I asked you to hit me up on icq so that you could tell me who you are but all i've heard is crickets.

I don't remember us having any "affiliates" in the past. But if I'm wrong hit me up or email me to refresh me. We've never not paid anyone who we owed money to.

This post has like a Mark Osterholt feel to it :1orglaugh

Caricatures are really where we thrive. However, we can really follow any style...
