All the giants in the business started out that way and continue to do so. Most of them by now have their own data centers.

Does anyone have the feeling that this dodik character and several others that are recent members of this board are either the return of some members that have been banned, or are just the characters of current older members?
To many of them come on this board doing and saying dumb things for it to be coincidence. |
Pathfinder, what caracter of a recent banned member are you ??

Spamming isn't worth shit. Nobody wants to host you because when you spam you get a ddos attack on your server or get hacked. And it's the best way to deal with them. When you take their network down they won't make money. |
Someone bitch slap this fuckin idiot
|
Spam is always bad, in one way!
the best is to never spam anything. and just run your own anti-spam biz! |

how could you say that without spam the internet industry woudl be dead ??!?!?!?!? Do any of hte top 10 sites on the net use spam? |
It is frustrating but useless to fight against spam. Until laws are passed and enforced spam will continue.
I'd personally like to see each spam mail result in 1 month of prison / and or $5000 fine. Unless the governments can be harsh with a cut throat attitude - spam will continue I'm afraid. |
Spamming is theft of services, and unless and until effective legislation is passed to deal with spammers harshly, it WILL render the email system useless. Spam is increasing at a huge rate, and this year AT&T reported that it's a huge problem for them - 30% of the traffic on their network is spam related.
You think spammers are legit? How come when the dumbass "bulker' types spam me as a webmaster with their hosting services or what have you, they never, EVER leave a url? That's because if they did I would ass fuck them and their little server. My idea of ideal spam legislation: Spam, be lined up against the nearest wall and summarily shot. Cheers, Backov |
Will always be out there, why you ask? Cause it makes a ton of money, if some one tells you that they tried spam and it didn?t work for them that?s cause they are stupid!
You know that spam makes money you guys are just fucking jealous! I spam big time I have webmasters that spam for my sites and my sites are bullet proof hosted we make money soo fuck off all you! ?Ohh I hate spam?, ?I cant see my wewe mommy? fucking babies! If someone is interested in anonymous bulk emailing or bullet proof hosting or an affiliates program with my spam sites contact me! |

|
Grow up boys,, spam will always be there, to many big companies involved in it!
Spam works get it through your thick heads, I have sites on a bullet proof web and we spam and make $ any spammers wanna make hook up contact me! :thumbsup |
there is nothing "bulletproof" no matter what your hosting company tells you. the only "bulletproof" web server is one that isn't plugged in to the network. then it would be on the "sneakernet."
i hope you make some money off your spamming (since you're doing it anyway) so you can buy yourself a clue. :321GFY |

What's spam?
|
In the 9 months I've been working the net I've learnt that some of you have weird ideas.
If someone signs up to view our site I think he is interested in buying our content. But when we send him updates on new content, we're spamming. But he does not give me his real name so I can remove him. I suppose he just likes to shout. Someone asks for real teen content providers and I put up a picture to show we have real teens. Again I'm accused of spamming, usually by someone with a banner in his sig. Why do you think most of us are here? To help others put us out of business or promote our own businesses? Or are we just hearing too much from the newbies, partimers and kids. Who like to shout the loudest and longest regardless of what they say. Spam is another form of marketing, close that down and life would be different. Imagine a world with out marketing. |
sending hundred of millions of mails thru SOMEBODY ELSES server is theft, plain and simple... "All the money" that you people think your making is costing email services and the like millions of dollars in loss... So its not a victimless crime... You make $100k but you probably cost somebody else that your abusing $500k when there is thousands of you doing it...

To some people, just having a commercial website and charging for products or services is spamming. We are all bombarded with advertising. Shit, most magazines are 3/4 or more advertising for products we don't want and don't want to know about, for the most part. However, we don't think of that as spam. On this board, I find some spam offensive and some not. As you well know, there are ways to do it and ways not to. Most of us don't mind the "introductory spam" ("I'm new to the board, my business is ABC Enterprises, and here's an example [or link] to what I do"). We do mind the guy who never participates except to plug his product or service. We content providers can wait for someone to ask a question and do a minor spam at that time by saying "I can do that, and here's an example." I'm sure even that offends some of the more anal among us, but my impression is that most don't mind. Most don't mind looking at pretty chicks, which gives us content providers an edge over the guys offering hosting services, etc. At any rate, just as "junk mail is the business correspondence you don't want," so "spam is the commercial Internet message you don't need or want at the time you get it." I suspect most of us have found the occasional useful spam, which is why I don't complain about it much. |
