Do you donate to any non-profits? Which?

For those of us who donate, I'm curious where you put your money..

I'm more interested in the non-disaster agencies, but list 'em all.

EFF? EPIC? Red Cross?

I donate to quite a few different charities, most involving children.

The one I donate to monthly is Sick Kids Foundation.

I support Until There's A Cure by buying their bracelets for the women in my life. My grandma died of AIDS (infected via a blood transfusion) and the organization helps raise awareness about the disease, and helps support those who are living with HIV/AIDS and can't support themselves.

I've bought THIS BRACELET for my mom, grandma, cousins, aunts, best friends, etc. Its beautiful, simple, timeless, and for a good cause.

:thumbsup

Occasionally I will mix in some variety, but most of mine go to the local VFW's, or vetran related agencies.

:2 cents:

I don't donate money to many places because I don't trust where my money is going. The only organization that I donate regularly to with any substantial amount of money is RAINN. I donate usually around 1-5k a year there depending on how much I can spare from projects I am working on.

BlackCrayon 07-12-2006 08:07 AM

i donated to madd after losing a friend in a drunk driving accident and i donated a small amount to the police association once and i plan on donating to some cancer and heart disease organizations but i've really been put off donating lately because it seems i get put on a sucker list every time i donate and get calls from every single organziation out there. i told them im not donating any more because it only gets me more calls for more donations.

Find something to do with Stem Cell research. Looks like Bush is going to veto the bill that will give funding for more research. So they could used the money for sure.
