Selling Firefox through MSN Adcenter...a tiny little experiment.
Threw $5.00 at it just to fuck around and made $22. Thats a nice little tiny ROI. Only 10 people got cold feet and didn't go through with the download but at least my landing page did the job.
It's not the $22 that made me create this thread....I just find it odd selling Firefox through MSN. :1orglaugh |

bump to get a discussion going. Ended up being charged $4.02 by MSN this morning so I didn't even use my whole $5 and managed to make $22.
I would share my keyword and click thru but MSN Adcenter either doesn't work in IE7 and Firefox...or my account is broken because none of my stats have populated. Also...whats the quickest way to find ROI. Seems like there are a million different formulas out there. What is the simplest and the most complicated? |
A few others guys are doing the same thing too, and doing pretty decent with it. One guy was selling his site, earning $50+ per day pushing Firefox downloads.

who pays for firefox downloads?
|
I didn't even know Firefox had an affiliate system...

basically I paid .18 for each action or something like that. |
These domains/sites crop up for sale on the domain forums a lot. I think this particular one was using a name like firefoxdownloads.ws or such, and I believe it was posted at Domainstate.

"tiny little ROI"? Thats 450% or so :) Sweet.

Well, only you know what your time is worth. So just add that to the costs I suppose. Could figure in the pro-rated server expense too and such. I was just going by the 2 numbers for gross profit percent.
I think if it's a number you can figure into your taxes, then figure it in to your costs/income. |
