Freeware image editor

I am looking to write a how-to for my forum members to teach them how to watermark their pictures.

Which easy, small image editor can you recommend? Does Picasa do watermarks?

never tried, but picasa is a sweet tool

Try Arles Digital Dutch. In the Image portion of the app, there's a watermark function. The transparency, font, font size, color, are all adjustable.

Check snapfiles.com, freeware section.

It's freeware, and there is already a tutorial complete with pretty pictures on their site.
