How do Prevent this guy from Using my blog Posts
 

I own www.teenist.com and this other guy owns www.justapornblog.com I dont want him populating his site via RSS cuz it dilutes my keywords and content. Also I dont want to disable rss cuz some people add them too feedburner ect.

Should i be overly concerned about this. I know this is what RSS if for but to me it cant be good can it. Please tell me if i am wrong

yeah it suck people do this but he is sending you the traffic and leaving your links intact

I get a few signups a week with the referring URL's always being these types... Doesn't bother me much.. Once guy even copies my entire site. We made a deal that he has his in a 5 day delay so that mine gets indexed first.

He accounts for about 1/4th the signups attributed to that blog... Nice guy..

I would set your rss posts to only show a summary

dam its using your whole blog. I think you can make your feed so only half of it shows up

You -should- be ok as the feed source, and you probably won't be penalized for it, but there's the odd chance that his site gets the rank for your content. In this case his domain is older than yours, and there's a chance that could have an effect. His site is also PR 3 but yours is PR 0? His may get the credit in the off chance that their algorithms aren't clever enough to know better.

They will mainly be trying to determine if you (or he) is just scraping content and has no additional value. Too many pages added at once might look like you're spamming too, and RSS 2 Blog type users should consider that.

You might try this duplicate content check, and try to keep it low 30 to 40% where possible.

yea i talked to him on icq and he was mad at me cuz i publish my rss feed but my rss feed isnt for him to populate his whole site without my permission. He is sending me traffic but its not all that much maybe like a few hunder hits a month and my bandwidth and ketwords gets used to as my site doesnt have time to index it first. I asked him to delay it or find another blog to populate his content with he said he will get to it later so we will see.

I can make custom feeds for you if you're going to pull my content. I'll use Nonsense to generate some stuff, too, so you aren't in any danger of the "duplicate" problem.

You should just write my blog for me then.. I quit updating it, and I don't want to fill it with "filler" by using the automated tools tho.

Then write a short teaser with a link to your post, direct to sponsor or both in optional excerpt.
