Simple, yet effective tip for ALL gallery submitters (biz thread)
 

I see a ton of gallery submitters these days submitting galleries with poor thumbs. There is no color/contrast/saturation adjustments, photos aren't sharpened and the framing is horrible. If you don't know how, you should probably learn how to use Photoshop just to do this task alone. You will notice a drastic improvement for an extra 2 mins of your time.

Not only will you help your CTR ratio improve via the MGP/TGP page, but you will also convince more surfers to bookmark the TGP/MGP page...thus bringing you more traffic in the long run.

If you don't do this already, you'll see a huge difference when you put the extra time into it. I personally adjust every photo by hand including thumbs and full sized images... I can honestly say that this may play a large part in my above average conversions. :thumbsup

I totally agree, take a few minutes to crop and enhance the thumbs and your ctr will definately improve. :thumbsup

Check http://asianporndorm.com/ for examples. I will be deleting the low quality thumbs in a bit, but you can see the difference in the front page thumbs. I could take the dark thumbs and clean them up substantially with a couple mins time... But it shouldn't be the site owner's job. :2 cents:

the thumbs you have on your main page are kind of boring.. none of them are in sexual poses, there faces are just like ehh, etc.. show more curves, girls smiling, ass popping, lip biting, lip licking, etc..

Shem do you have any good photoshop actions that can run through a bunch of thumbs quickly and autosave them once it edits them? I already do this for my galleries, but just thought it would be quicker to replace some older thumbs etc.

I don't have a ton of time to go in depth, but look at your preview page.. The last 2 thumbs are blurry and off center. Also, you are showing too much of the body.. A good idea with thumbs is to emphasize 1 part of the body, be it ass, tits, pussy, face, whatever. By zooming out, the emphasis is lost. I was also thinking that you were avoiding hardcore thumbs, but I see a pic of a girl giving a blowjob. You have many high quality hardcore images that would be a better preview than what you have selected....

Also, try to use thumbs of smiling women, or women who appear to be in ecstacy... Not girls nervously frowning. I'm not trying to rip on you... Just offering some constructive criticism. :thumbsup

Sherm post great thumbs with his galleries... Only wished more people would learn this. If I'm short of time I sometimes delete a perfectly good gallery instead of recropping it myself in Comus...

i didn't check your galleries. but the point of a good thumb on your main page is to get them to the gallery in the first place. one step at a time man. :thumbsup

that main page is nothing, I just made it to list them to show a few people, I guess it looks like a bigger TGP but no one really sees it, I should have just used text links to show them I guess.

- Thumb #1 can be brightened up a little bit.
- Thumb #2... If you add a little contrast, her hair and eyes will pop out more.
- Thumb #3... A little less bright, a 2-3+ contrast and if you really wanted to put the time in, you could edit the color balance a bit. Could also be centered, better as well, but that is variable on the screencap size you were given.
- Thumb #4... 3-3+ contrast again would bring the red of the tongue out, the white of the cum and her hair.. Could also use some centering.

Above all, I'm not much of a fan of the WM player icon on thumbs. A lot of people use it, but surfers that surf MGP's know that clicking a thumb will lead to a movie. :thumbsup

i don't see how you guys say you only spend 2-3 hours on multiple galleries and yet make every thumb in the gallery by hand. does giving better quality thumbs and images really result in better conversions? conversions seemed to be a lot better when images looked like shit in the old days.

This is so true, I always spent alot of time on my thumbs, they make up majority of your presentation, if something is not presented well it sucks pretty bad...

I don't need to spend 2-3 hours on multiple galleries. I submit 2 a day MAX, but get more click through and better conversions than some people submitting 10 a day. Successful gallery submitting is a culmination of a lot of things... But it's too much to go into in 1 thread.

In the old days, there weren't 5 million paysites like there are now... In order to grab a surfer's eyes now, you need to have QUALITY.... Even when dealing withthe amateur niche. :2 cents:

well, the problem is when you submit real amateurs the pics are not that good, RR has that although they are amateur pics it should be prefect, so have other reviewers

True... but they can be re-framed and brought out a bit more with some tweaking... I've taken pics that were completely dark and blurry, and have made them surfable.

The question is now flipped... Why should submitters have to adjust the photos? Shouldn't the paysites have them perfect before offering the product as a paid good to surfers? :error

that's nothin' you should see the totaly crap images on the tours . . check out lesbiantraing.com for some insight into crap tour images . . it's fucking pathetic . . as bad as those images some sponser put here at GFY that got laughed off the boards . .

If you give it to the surfers correctly, you'll still see great ratios. My conversion ratios haven't dropped much since 99.

That is for a whole other topic though.
