The Goverment here paid over 800k for that stupid little logo.

Similare thing happened a good few years ago now with Ducati motorcycles

they changed their very nice font to a very plain and square font for the word "Ducati"

cost them hahaha163;75,000 to have that done

Batts, I remember that and what about the more than basic redesign of the Commonwealth Bank logo, I believe they paid millions!

visa changed there logo, cant imagine how much that cost to change, plus implement around the world!

Seriously though, how does that work anyway? I can just picture the design company's thought patterns.

"Doug needs a new logo, $2500 by next Friday."
"Oh, this grocery store is looking for a new look, $15,000 within 3 months."
"Tina needs a corporate look... $5,000 a month tops."
"The government? A few changes? $219,000!!!"

And the government just goes "Hmm.. ok, can you have it done in say... 15 months?"

why the fuck do they pay so much for that shit? governments really love pissing away money they stole from civilians.
