I have a theory so bear with me on this one:

Players from African countries don't go down unless it really hurt.

Players from North American countries don't go down unless it really hurt.

Players from British countries don't go down unless it really hurt.

Players from Asian countries don't go down unless it really hurt.

Players from most European countries will dive and go down if they are caressed by a slight breeze from any direction or if any opponent's body part comes within 2 feet.

My theory is that this sickness that has invaded the beautiful game in Europe comes as a result of either too many greenhouse gases or air pollution of some kind that has caused a severe depletion in testosterone in the males of this region.

For most people in the world it was actually refreshing to see Zidane hit someone solidly with his head, and we all watched with amazement as Materazzi fell as if struck by an oncoming train... due to European testosterone reduction syndrome.

Diving is a tactic and any player doing it should be ashamed as well as their countrymen.

Ask the Italians how they fought their way back against Australia with 10 men... going into overtime. and backed their sorry butts into continuing on into the finals.

It is a beautiful game but the testosterone challenged European players are making it into a joke.

I look forward to the day when a team with real big balls. talent and heart, wins the world cup for Asia, North America, Africa or the British Isles, Central America or an unheralded South American squad.

On that day we will look back at the Italians, French, Portugese, and Spanish teams, watch the replays and laugh our asses off and wonder why anyone would put up with this bullshit.
