Just to add - I never really liked jimthefiend, he's always seemed like a really abusive type of person.

BUT

After hearing him on the station, he was well spoken, answered questions intelligently and when attacked never got angry.

Punker or whoever the interviewer was, was the ONLY person in that interview who raised their voice and *tried* to get a rise out of jim UNSUCCESSFULLY!

I don't dislike Jim, however, he has created and fueled a persona that gets people on this board worked up.

She asked the questions everyone wanted to hear. Not only that, but she forced the issue on questions he "appeared" not to want to engage in.

That is pretty jounalistic. Pretty standard stuff.

Had she not went down that route, what would everyone have thought? He started tens of thousands of threads regarding the subject, she just put him on the spot to answer as to why.

Like I said, I don't not like Jim. And yes, he handled himself well. And I bet he even understands that his personality will illicit these things.

Its no big deal and to be honest, it turned out to be a great show if you ask me.

I agree to an extent. Questions were asked then re-asked and Jim dodged those types of questions.

PB did ask standard journalistic questions but at the same time she seemed to let her own feelings get in the way. She got a little antsy, raising her voice, speaking over jim etc... Where as Jim let her finish then made the appropriate response.

Anyways it's an interview between two people i've never met, so really i'm speaking out of my arse :)

Also just like to add that i've never ever chatted to jim and always thought he was a stupid redneck until now. He sounds like an intelligent, mature and interesting person.

I am glad she did let it go. Vanilla leveled it off enough. But it was far from boring.

Sometimes I enjoy when people are just real. That is interesting.

All the same, I think she made the right decision, people are talking about the show. She pretty much asked the questions that everyone ask him in his threads.

Obviously, yes I did expect Ramos to be a topic. I was however, surprised and a little annoyed that he was the MAIN topic.

Certain people are giving me shit about the whole interview, you can all get fucked. If your opinions mattered on that issue, then it would have been YOU being interviewed.

It was a pretty decent interview, Jim handled himself professionally, and he made some good points.

well just listened to the first 5 minutes- 20 seconds talk and 4:40 min commercials.... damn it must suck living in a country with so damn much commercials.

It's not easy being interviewed and coming off sounding pro or cool if you haven't had experience or coached at it. So I cut Jim some slack here! From a substance point of view I think Jim explained himself very well on why the on board persona and why he called out Ramos so much..

Vanilla and PB did lay into Jim if you didn't notice. If the two ladies were friends of yours and you were a Jim hater from the start then it prolly was an enjoyable show. Being more objective, I wouldn't have called it exactly fair.

I don't personally know Jim, PB or Vanilla. The girls look hot for sure, but that doesn't make them a Ted Koppel" or "Tim Russert" when it comes to interviews. They certainly seemed to have an agenda. They had partied with Ramos and were his friend. Therefore Ramos was "kwel" even though he showed up way late (with a lame excuse) for his interview on YNOTRadio.

Trey's entrance was very pro on his part. I can'd defend his persona on the boards, but he was there for one of his own and didn't try to steal the show or take Jim out of the lime light.

I would have liked to hear about more of Jim's experience in the Army. What did he do, did he see any combat action etc. Every broadcaster in the US would have thanked Jim for his service to the country once annouced. PB and Vinallia passed over it.

PB and Vanilla are well known and liked in the Industry. It would be much more popular to jump on the hate Jim bandwagon. So I may be dismissed as clueless or an old geezer. So be it. The thread needed a bit nore objectivity.

Seems so many in the industry use the guidline of "coolness" or other "hype" to judge people and programs other than true merit and accomplishment. Truth be known, sex, coolness and hype sells to most here.
