Post some of the dumb advice others have given you
 

Ok, lots of people love to give advice, so if anyone wants to post some of the dumber advice they were given to make sales off a website post it here.

Here is one that really got me.

this was about 5 years ago, There was one guy who bought banner space on thehun, some people thought this guy was making a killing because he said he was... so other people did what he was doing which was, buy a banner on the hun, since they thought the hun had crap traffic, instead of sending the traffic to their site, they sent it to a toplist they built so they would send tons of traffic to other amateur sites, get up high on their top list and thus get traffic from their sites link page.

It was a pretty dumb idea, I told them that when it was suggested to me that I do this because "everyone else" was making tons of money doing it. most of those sites are out of business. Really bad idea...
