registerfly can FUCK OFF!!!

i just spent 2 hours of my fuckin day calling them...being on hold for 30 mins then *mysteriously* disconnecting...this happened about 6 times!!!!!!!!! call back...get hung up on ....call back...get hung up on..wait and wait and wait! i tried to do a domain transfer, they charged my CC but the transfer said "error". you know what the guy told me on the phone?? "I cant see outbound transfers..only inbound. sorry." they wont even credit my account the money so i can try again. this is NOT the first time this has happend. I've had nothing but fuckin problems and money taken time and time again. what a fuckin NIGHTMARE this company is!!!

I do have a godaddy account (with only 1 domain in it), how are they??

selena 07-10-2006 12:16 PM

All my domains are with godaddy. I've had trouble one time, and that was my own fault for a typo on an NS.

I'm happy. :)

move all your domains to namecheap :)

WiredGuy 07-10-2006 12:21 PM

Renewing domains is a real bitch for registerfly, i hate their process. You likely have your domains locked. You need to unlock them, then renew (considered a transfer), once the transfer goes through (about 3-5 days), then you can lock it up again. Its stupid, retarded, I know, I'm just explaining the process...

yes, registerfly sucks so much... the worst site i have ever used..

not only its compliocated to change something so easy like "address" or "dns"

but they also have some major technical problems..

i registered 2 domains 2 years ago and had plenty of problems..

they suck so much...

stay away of it.

I've had some bad experience with Registerfly and their shitty nameserver administration. However, the one time I called they were pretty decent with response and got right on it. Of course, I had to tell them what the problem might be because they couldn't figure it out.

I still use them for the majority of my domains and whenever I register a new one I still use them. I haven't found anything better yet, unfortunately.

We still have some with godaddy, but we have heard some bad stories about them.

The worst one was, that someone complained about X domain spamming them. Turned out, that the spammer just selected a random domain. But godaddy pulled the domain and pointed it to thier page. It was like that for almost 2 months.

Dotser.com is the way to go.

Babagirls 07-10-2006 12:34 PM

i called my bank and i gotta try to do a chargeback (when the charge shows up in a few days) but i saw on their sites that the transfer fee is "non refundable", does that mean i cant do a chargeback? god im pissed off!

dissipate 07-10-2006 12:36 PM

godaddy has always been smooth sailing for me

czarina 07-10-2006 12:40 PM

PS. we now use name cheap for all new domains.

ronad10 07-10-2006 12:41 PM

Moniker all the way for their support.

Babagirls 07-10-2006 12:42 PM

ya ive been gettin a lot of people saying 'go with namecheap'. i'll DEFINATLY check'em out!!

mikeyddddd 07-10-2006 12:44 PM

I usually use directNic. But, last week registerfly had a special on .info domains so I got 70. That was on the 1st and they still don't resolve. Yet, the troubleticket I opened says everything is okay.

Their DNS interface sucks!

I was going to get it straightened out today but I don't feel like fucking with them any more.

iv@n 07-10-2006 02:32 PM

i renewed 7 domains at registerfly and they are showing up as expired, no response from support. idiots.

Matiz 07-10-2006 02:39 PM

Moniker is the best registrar
