Birthday:
Today is my birthday. I don't like birthdays. They seem to come faster and faster. From here on out I will be like the late Jack Benny and remain the same age.
My oldest son is giving me (and my youngest son whose birthday is on the 7th) a party Saturday in the form of a Bar-B-Q and he is renting the Lewis/Tyson fight on pay-per-view. All of the family will be there (other than my oldest daughter who lives in the southern part of the state). Today will be like any other day for me. I quit drinking some years ago (days like this I have some regret), so I won't be partying today. When you have had as many birthdays as me they don't mean much. Just another day. I wish everyone good health on my birthday. |

Time is a blessing, think of how much better and stronger a person you are now compared to 10 years ago.

No cake for me. I am a diabetic. Well maybe one small piece; hmmm maybe larger than that. Well I think I will have just one more piece! |

Hang in there Marine. My oldest son spent 3 years in the Army, then he went nuts and enlisted in the Marines. He had several different MOS's he could have chosen, but wanted to be a grunt. Five years later he had enough of that. He now has a degree, is working on his masters, and works at a college. An aside: When he came home from bootcamp he looked like he just got out of Dachcau. I told him that if they would have kept him another two or three weeks they would have just sent a uniform home. He was was 5' 11" and weighed 175 lbs when he entered boot and came home weighing 135 lbs. The weight he maintained for the next five years was about 155 lbs. He now weighs about 190 lbs. mike503: I did that! :thumbsup |
Birthday is over. I would like to go to sleep, but I have to take my youngest son to work at 8:30 AM Pacific. He lost his license for a period of time.
Thanks again to the well wishers. |
