This worldcup was a mess and this is another stupidity of FIFA.
Wasn't this Worldcup supposed to be a demonstration of FAIR PLAY (like FIFA loves to say)?? How can a player who was sent off with a direct RED CARD in the final win the "player ofthe competition" award???
More. Cristiano Ronaldo did not won the "best young player" award because, in Fifas words, he was always "jumping to the swimming pool" (funny in yesterdays final i saw pretty good jumping...) but ZIDANE can win the best player award with a DIRECT RED CARD?? Thats a fine example for all soccer players in the world...

he got skills for sure,

he wasnt even the best player, he was dire in the group stages and they only got threw because they won their last game (which he didnt play). He played okay against spain and brilliantly against brazil. I think maniche, maxi rodriguez, canavarro, gattuso, and others were all better and way more consistant.
