I just can't grasp the concept of women being called a "slut" or "whore"....
 

When I was like 18 I would not hesitate to call a girl that slept with tons of guys a slut, but now that I have reached a certain age where sex is an acceptable form of recreation or even just a "fun" thing for two people to do, I can not understand how women are still referred to as a slut for having multiple partners in a short amount of time

Sex is just sex, and when a man does it a lot it isn't thought about twice, it is normal for men to sleep with tons of women...but when a woman does it, they are wrong and immoral

the only way I can think anyone would think like that about women is that they came from some religious background either in their life or around their life, and they were taught at some point that sex is a bad thing and should only be done between two people that love each other

well, girls are usually at lot more picky about their sex partners and because of that tend to have less sexual partners....While they may have just as much sex, they usually try and have one partner at a time, while us guys will try and conquer as many girls as we can

I know my wife loves sex, but she always had long term relationships, so, while she may have had sex as many times as me, it was with same guys over long periods of times, while at the time I was with tons of different girls all the time

I think you are not getting the argument. For every guy having sex, there must be a girl having sex too (except for fleshlight users and gay people :) ). So the number of guys having sex, is exactly the same as number of girls having sex. So on average each girl has exactly the same number of sex partners as guys do.

I get your point, but I think it's more driven by believing in a legend that girls have less sex than guys, than by facts and using logic. The problem is that girls prefer to under-estimate their sexual encounters while guys tend to exaggerate them, that's probably why the illusion that girls have less sex partners started. But either way, it's getting late, I probably need to start doing some work... :)
