Aside from Zidane's bullshit, I have complete respect for the French team. Those guys played their hearts out, even moreso without their captain. And even though David Trezeguet was this year's Roberto Baggio, they still did incredible..

Now for Zidane's shit, I still cannot believe it. When I saw it I was in shock. He was my favorite soccer player, the greatest player of our generation/in the past 20 years, and supposedly a very humble individual, but what he did would probably go down as the worst thing in the history of international soccer. It's disgusting, and he destroyed his entire legacy with one movement. On the other hand, I will make millions off of Zidane joke shirts.. Either way I hate Italy. But this world cup didn't show 1 dominant team, like the other world cups, so its hard to root for anybody. There wasn't that 1 team that distinguished itself from everybody. All in all a B world cup, hopefully 2010 will be better..
