I know how to run a whois query. I want to know which GFY nic is associated with this or if there is one so that I can add that person to my list of people that I dont discuss confidential information with.

I talked with a couple of people about a mainstream project (without naming specific domains to be used, just very general topics, like "death") and the next thing I know all the domains I was gonna use are registered by this asshole.

Maybe he found the same word list I was using, but that would be one hell of a coincidence.

BTW, after you run ONE whois query from command line, he blocks any further ones and gives the following message:

Hmm, very intresting. The domain that I was whois'ing when I posted this thread and trying to register, has suddenly opened back up. When I was whois'ing, it was showing as having been registered on July 7, 2006. So I decided to backorder it.

I got this today:

ISNOMORE.COM

It was backordered through GoDaddy.

Domain Kiting. Nice little scam. Thats the only way it could have been registered for such a short amount of time.

Good to know thats what he does. So if he gets a domain you want, DONT type it in otherwise he might think its valueable and keep it, otherwise you might be able to get it.

Nice one. That is exactly what happened to me yesterday too. I ended up getting the one I backordered too, after it being deleted and getting snapped up by wangleedomains straight away. :)
