Molester caught after leaving his email address tucked in victim's skirt
KAWASAKI -- A university student who molested a woman on a train was arrested Wednesday after he was tracked down using a note containing his email address he had left tucked in her skirt, police said.
Kiyofumi Kawabata, 21, from Sagamihara, has admitted to violating Kanagawa Prefecture ordinance.
"She was my type of girl," he was quoted as saying.
Kawabata touched a high school girl over her skirt on an Odakyu Odawara Line train running between Machida and Shinyurigaoka stations on the morning of June 20.
The girl, 17, grabbed his hand and shouted, "He is a molester." But Kawabata managed to escape at Shinyurigaoka Station.
A memo with Kawabata's mobile phone email address was left tucked between her shirt and skirt the previous day when he had also molested her. Police identified Kawabata through the mail address and arrested him on Wednesday.
