You find the reason/location of where that child is? Sure smells like radiation effects - nasty shit - lasts for many decades and results in a wide range of health problems.
What is labelled "Gulf War Syndrome" is the same thing - basically radiation sickness. There was a US captain and about 32 troops doing a clean up after the Gulf War. Can't remember his name, but he wrote a book a few years back.
Basically all the soliders who were with him had since died - he was the only living member of his team, but had serious health problems. They all died of.. basically leukemia, cancers or known related diseases.
There are also two islands in the Caribbean which were used for "bombing run training". Arms with DP were obviously used there as well. One is now totally uninhabited (it's too dangerous). The population of the other island started protesting and walking on to the "bombing run" area while there were military exercises and the military had to stop. But apparently now 30+% of the island population now have forms of leukemia - kinda drastic!
PS.. Ah.. watch out! :) There was a statement by the US Admin that the operations on that island are being moved to .. think someplace in the Vegas desert. So looks like they are going to screw that up next.
