I was talking to my host today, and Jim said that all of there new ballsy servers are useing these processors. pretty cool I think its time to do some upgrading.

I haven't heard any complaints about GFY until this thread.

But GFY still loads quickly than myspace for me.

Dunno, and I was too lazy to really search for it. But a google of

myspace "server infrastructure"

returned a result for a company named 3par that seems to provide some services for a few large companies. Regardless, I'm sure they have a savage backend.

i noticed that too myself that this site is very slow, but i don't use myspace so i don't know how fast it loads really.

That's saying a lot... lol Myspace can be glacial at times.

Last i checked, myspace runs off of 150 servers, when you consider that myspace is the #2 trafficed site on the net (more than google/ebay/msn). They use SQL 2005 64bit and ASP.NET 2.0 64bit. The performance potential of asp.net/sql server is amazing :winkwink:
