How much does an affiliate managers (rep) make a month?

I know that a big part of the affiliate manager income depends on the income from his/hers affiliates. But I was wondering how much does an affiliate rep make a month from his/hers fixed salary. Do you knows have an idea?

This thread was inspired on all the threads floating around GFY lately about affiliate reps.

After Shock Media 07-07-2006 06:02 PM

Can not give real figure but lets say from 1000.00 to 5000.00 a month range, from personal experience.

I think they make around 2 to 3 K a month, depending on their skills, amount of affiliates they handle and how good they are at their job.

Sapphic cash Kerry might earn 5 to 7 K, big program and he's a good rep
Twistys Kevin might earn 2 to 2.5 K smaller program (not that he's a bad rep)

I think they earn a little bit more than a mainstream rep just because they are in adult + they might earn a bonus when they bring in new affiliates.

I'm just taking a swing at it, it's impossible to anwser this question.

Smoke much crack?

Babagirls 07-07-2006 08:20 PM

i'd work part time for $1k a month (so i could still do my stuff on the side). It'd take alot of $$ to make me go full time. but usuallly affliate reps only make a % or a % of who they refered. rare to see someone offering a base salary.

czarina 07-07-2006 08:26 PM

may be I'm in the wrong side of the industry... I should stop designing and start working for a program!

Wizzo 07-07-2006 08:29 PM

Anyone that wants to offer a 8k base +commission I'm there... Sure Mayor would fire me if I didn't take it... haha

Wizzo 07-07-2006 08:32 PM

But seriously, most decent reps make $1000-$3000 base and usually around $1 a slae for those under them... :pimp

american pervert 07-07-2006 08:34 PM

about a 100 dollars

i have no experience in sales reps, but i'd really like to learn how and would probably like the job

madawgz 07-07-2006 09:00 PM

5000$/month would be really nice :)

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-07-2006 09:25 PM

Any program owners want to ICQ me with offers that is fine, I have a nice resume outside of adult!

mrkris 07-07-2006 09:33 PM

I'd like a job as a rep, the good thing is if i'm full time, i have more than just rep skills to bring to the table, such as traffic building, programming, marketing schemes, etc.

There are some that makes better figures then that.

Just figure out that somebody reffering about 50 sales a day (what a good aff rep does) to a program that pays 10 % on 30 $ pps would make close to 150 a day ... 7 days a week. That's 4k refferal money + maybe a little base salary.

They also get paid per sale for people under them... not everybody gets paid on ref either. It all depends.

But one thing for sure, a good aff rep can bring in 50 new sales a day after a couple months of work.

A good rep can be making some good money out there ;)

gregtx 07-07-2006 10:32 PM

I doubt most new reps can even bring in 50 new joins a day... and maintain it.. people move traffic around too much.. (yes there are several who do it.. but those are the "good" ones.. not switching companies every month...)

$2k-3K/month is what i've heard most larger companies are paying... and if you think about it.. $36K is a decent salary... its more than the average teacher with a degree.... or a retail manager at a normal retail store...

plus most larger programs offer benefits.. such as health, vacation pay, etc..

Antonio 07-07-2006 11:46 PM

8k a month? sure, sure, I'd say that's only your basic, as soon as you add your extras and perks it amounts to 20k a month at least

tony286 07-07-2006 11:49 PM

what is the avg lifespan of a rep , is it like other sale jobs .That after years of busting ass, when the comfy yrs are coming they are booted.

Adam_M 07-08-2006 12:15 AM

Wildcash will be hiring an other Affiliate Rep in the next few month!!!

All those that are saying $5000-$8000 need not apply.:helpme

Interesting.

I don't care what size program we are but i will say this Kevin is not a 2k rep. Kevin is someone who rises to the top of every single company he works for mainstream or adult. In my opinion he is hands down the best rep in the business.

Pretty much everyone got that I guess. A twistys sales rep and esp a good one doesnt make 2k a month.

charleychacko 07-08-2006 09:14 AM

wish I could get my HANDS on being a REP

Kimo 07-08-2006 09:15 AM

id like to be an affiiate rep some day

pussyluver 07-08-2006 09:16 AM

Thanks all, glad I stuck with the TGPs. :thumbsup

If you talk a good line, you should be able to get 50 cents back off every dollar a rep makes on ya.

anyone without any experience would like an 8k sales rep job - few can actually get it AND make a prg owner a nice profit even with an 8k base wages

wedouglas 07-08-2006 09:20 AM

Where is Pipecrew? I think he might do a little more though than just help affiliates...:winkwink:

Basic_man 07-08-2006 09:23 AM

1k$ to 3k$ a month? I'll stick to my job :P

Nightwind 07-08-2006 09:24 AM

I've been trying to become one for a while now, it just seems that unless you know the right people you are out of luck.

Crazy Carlos 07-08-2006 09:25 AM

as far as i know most reps are in a commision and a small base income. so i would say 1500 and the rest is commission. but that can always earn them a lot if they got some good earning affiliates

Adultnet 07-08-2006 09:30 AM

I guess its around 4-8k... :)

Kimo 07-08-2006 09:32 AM

my understanding is it varies greatly, somtimes just comission and no base salary, it all depends on the program and other shit

This is a great thread to show how dillusional some people are regarding this industrys salarys eh...funny tho

FreeHugeMovies 07-08-2006 10:32 AM

Depends on the company and how much money they are willing to spend. Depends on your skill set etc etc.

Any company paying less than 35k is cheap as fuck IMO

Theo 07-08-2006 10:32 AM

It depends on many things, but as said 8k wage and percentages for a sales rep is unrealistic. It can be the case with very very few,but none comes in mind this moment. Some of the names mentioned like pipecrew they are not sales rep.

We don't employee any sales rep, only webmasters that can provide real assistant to affiliates. Viral affiliate marketing is the way to grow your business in 2006.

Pipecrew is nowhere near a sales rep. Think of him more as the guy you'd hire to run your company.

date_tlc 07-08-2006 10:43 AM

There can be some very good money in it
