What CC Processors Scrub YOU too hard?

I have successfully used my CC at IBill, CCbill, and um.. Jettis doesn't like me. Just wondering how many other webmasters run into the problems of being denied by CC companies.

I'd like to know too...

Who's more scrubby?

My ex was a scrubber so I'm voting for other.

TheFLY 06-04-2002 03:35 PM

this poll is statistically flawed you have to admit that the most popular processors will have the most votes -- regardless of scrubbing.

ZoiNk 06-04-2002 03:38 PM

That's true that it is flawed, but that's the reason I didn't put the really small guys in the poll. (waits for CC processors to come knocking at my door for calling them small)

Hi,

Our merchants set their own level of fraud scrubbing for their sites so you will never see us on a "scrub too hard" list. 3rd party processors are protecting thier own merchant accounts and must scrub how they feel necessary to keep their chargeback thresholds below acceptable levels. It is simply part of doing business. The problem comes into play when a company scrubs the same for low chargeback sites as they do for high chargeback sites. Most of the processors that we are all familiar with do what they need to do to stay in business..... can't blame them for that. Visa and Mastercard are a bitch and are what we as processors constantly battle to keep our merchants happy and profitable.

So far the poll looks VERY intersting. It is of course no way representative of actual figures, but from the people that voted, it looks like ccbill has denied more webmaster here then ibill. I honestly thought it would be the other way around.

LOL I'm late! And I just noticed the ads are gone from the Profile bar...

and I'm beat, just got home from a little trip today...

none of that has any relevance to the poll either lol ;)

If x people got turned down by us, and 10x people didn't, while y people got turned down somewhere else and 10y people didn't, what is the actual value of x and y? And how would these values relate to the numbers in the poll?

;)

Lets hear CCbill's values on x and y. X being how many ppl get approved in a month and Y being how many died in a month. If all CC processors would post that info, then a poll like this would be totally useless. :) Also if you want to post percent why each one got denied, insuffient funds, etc. :)

pr0,

No problem... your location is "The Matrix". Where exactly is that? We are going to Maui this week for eight days. Anywhere near there? :-)

cbill is the best

Cogitator 07-07-2002 10:31 AM

Many sites use multiple billers to avoid this problem. There are times when a biller's fraud scoring system needs to be tweaked and is declining transactions more than it should. In these cases it's helpful to have a second or even third biller available to recover the transaction.

Many people spam to attempt to get webmasters to notice them. Sad.
