A new use for MySpace?

I thought this was a little strange

That's got to be one of the best presented myspace pages I've seen.

Probably more money spent on it than any other you have seen too.

The concept isn't really new. I've seen a lot of other movie-based promotional myspace's but I have to agree, that one is one of the best presented myspace pages I've seen. :2 cents:

Pretty much every star / movies are getting hyped through myspace.

It's a movie. MySpace has been promoting movies for a little bit now.

For Example adding X-Men 3 as a friend gave you the option of increasing your Top 8 to as much as 24 before it was widely available.

Ya it can be accomplished through a little HTML and CSS but this just made it easier...with the whole drag and drop under edit friends.:thumbsup

nice page, but what's new about it? movie promotions have been around since day 1.

Myspace is owned by Fox I think now.... So you should expect a shitload more advertising like that...

baddog 07-07-2006 12:26 AM

Well, guess it isn't a new concept then, just the first I have ever seen.

I think you hit it right on the head. Given the MILLIONS of people on MySpace, NewsCorp (owner of Fox and Myspace) would be remiss in its corporate duties not to fully exploit that huge audience with crossmedia advertising.:2 cents:
