Just drank some dom perignon for the first time
 

I normally drink Cristal ... just read about the Jay-Z boycott (I don't really care) and decided I'l try that for a change.

Damn that stuff was good... I feel fucking goodn ow.

Not sure which Dom I always get but it has a slightly bitter taste to me so I finally learned to skip it. Piere Jouet is better. imo.

Not really ... I was in a 2 floor hotel suite with a couple of friends there. My drink of choice aiin't no champagne ... I only drink that at hotel with chicks in the bath or the bed ;) Once in a while...

Not a big champagne fan...except on special occasions like new years or a wedding. So the "Andre" is fine with me :1orglaugh

Personally I don't understand the hype surrounding Cristal. I've never liked it that much. I like Veuve Clicquot, its nice and tasty and its only around $50 or so.

I don't know I'm not a connaisseur or nothing like that when it comes to champagne... I'm really not a big drinker... so I always went with the ones that well branded (I know it's stupid). I personally like the Dom a little better then cristal I think ;)

Yea champane I keep for special occations too much of a head ache afterwards. Even the good stuff. Does make a nice POP sound though :)

Dom is great, but its expensive. Give Veuve Clicquot a try, you wont be disapointed.

Honestly I only drink Remy Martin straight with a Cola or Heinekin chaser. All the sweet drinks are for chicks.

My friends REALLY don't give a shit about the price. Last thing on their mind.

I'd never pay 200+ bucks for something that don't get me drunk unless it's to please somebody else (a chick for example).

Only time I buy high priced bottles is like old Cognac and stuff like that.

I'm with you on that one! Veuve has some nice bottles! Cristal is not bad thought, but severely overpriced. Give me 3 Veuve's over 1 cristal anytime ;)

Dom is way overrated. Some of the others listed here are comparable price and way better quality.

One of these days someone will explain to me why Americans are so damn pretentious about what they drink. Every time there is one of these threads, sure everyone talks about the great flavor, how smooth the drink is, all the things they are supposed to say. But is it sheer coincidence that the list still comes out as a rundown of the most expensive, or the coolest labels and bottles?

I have a bottle I got 6 years ago when we got married that I still have not drank.. gonna crack it open on our 10th anniversary, it's sitting in a cool dark area of the house right now...

This definitly won't be a short term impact you know ... but if all rappers start saying Dom Perignon instead of Cristal, all the suburban thugs wich live at their rich parent's place will start drinking that instead of Cristal.
