Poker bots

I can't tell you how many times I got the feeling that I was playing against a bot...so many bad beats in one night...

my question is, have you guys tried all those poker bots that are available online? I'm not saying that I would like to try it, just want to see if my feeling is right (or was I sooooooo unlucky the other night)

I guess all those anti-fraud measures aren't working well for casinos

poker bots can be run, but they dont have any advantage, except they dont get tired or make mistakes...

they are programmed by the person whos playing....it does what they would do on specific hands etc...its very hard to program, but if your smart enough, you can run it on the noob tables and make a killing :)

Alot of times its not a bot your up against. Its 1 person, using multiple accounts with separate ip addresses. Unlike us, a numerous amount of sites, do not monitor this kind of play, and handle it immediately, thus for at any given time, you are sitting at a table of 10 people, 9 being "Joe" and 1 being You. The odds of winning any hands at this table are absolutely minimum.

Not uncommon a team will work together and work over players.

Also, super crazy bots out there, made by universities and pretty much not available for purchase or use, more for the challenge of making them.

Would not be surprised if some people had made their own that kill low limit.

I wrote one a couple of years ago. There's not a huge advantage, but it never gets bored, and like somebody said, can make a killing on the lowend tables.

Basically, it moved the application client window to known screen coordinates, and compared the displayed card images against images in memory to determine the hand being played and the competitors hands. From there it ran through some algorithms for gameplay/betting and automated the mouseclicks on the known screen coords... rinse and repeat. I was just starting to "smarten" up the app from analyzing the gameplay history when I grew bored with it.

Yes, there are plenty of bots and trainers available. Most of which just tell you what your best bet would be in the current situation or even do it for you, both of which are against most major programs' terms and will cause you to not be paid out on any winning.

A lot of major poker and casino programs out there clearly list in their terms that they record activity on your screen during a game
At least PartyPoker and AbsolutePoker do this.

Enter http://www.winholdem.net/
Winholdem allows you to run it from a separate computer on your network thus keeping your "play" computer safe for poker boting.

never ever gamble casino online :2 cents:

Bama 07-06-2006 06:05 PM

The ONLY way I'd play with real money at an online casino is if it was your money!

There is NO online casino that has any measures in place to prevent teams with half a clue from logging on and cheating.

9 people in 9 different states (or countries) with 9 different accounts and 9 different IP's (and probably class C's) are sitting at the table and then you plop down to play.... but what you don't know is that those 9 players are all sitting in an ICQ chat telling each other their cards and playing you for a fool... and mentally spending the money that you *will* lose to them.

empire goes out of its way to ban suspected bots.....and it just so happens you can join thru my sig:)

Bdiddy 07-06-2006 06:19 PM

That would be an extensive amount of programming
