Great acting by kevin spacey, & an awesome support cast. However the character playing superman lacked a certain...."i don't know what". I didn't buy it....& he seemed like an amateur playing with pro's.

The computer generated graphics were pretty good....good enough for an imax flick.

But something was missing in this movie...i won't get into it with spoilers.

My opinion.....go see it on a hot summer weekday with the kids. But don't take out a new girl for a date to this one.

It was waaaay too long.. And not enough action. I mean.. the action was there but I didn't care about the story.

The only thing superman returns was missing was more of superman?s sperm. If it had had more of that then it would have been a bigger hit at the box office.

The effects were cool and the IMAX 3D stuff was nifty, but I think the movie was lacking too... I was disappointed.

I guess I'll wait for it on DVD.

movie looks great on IMAX...the actor who played Superman did a good job on portraying him. Not too much action, yes, quite bored on just Clark - Loiuse thing...maybe I'll wait if they make a part 2 on it...

Saw it last night. I'd say 7/10. It's hard to beat the classic 78 version. Like you can't beat the original Star Wars movies with new ones. Gene Hackman, Christopher Reeve, etc, "Otis!".... Great special effects. It just lacked something, I don't know what, to make it great. I think part of it was the cast except Kevin Spacey(good job as always). What's her name was hot, but she can't act. I liked her better as a blonde. The dude that played Superman sucked too. What a twist with the kid.... I thought the ending sucked too. It was still worth the $ though.

I want the Superman dies story to be a damn movie. Doomsday was a great storyline.

The actors they used for Lois and Superman sucked. Fucking smallville cast could have done a better job :disgust

I really think Superman Returns was a great movie and overall it hasn't done that bad at the box office. If not for the gigantic amount of money wasted over the last decade (600+ million dollars w/final production), it really wouldn't be being seen as such a flop imo.

One of the worst superhero movies ever. Shitty storyline, shitty acting, shitty directing. Don't waste your time on this one...
