Rescued 2 baby skunks (PICS)
 

Claire and I have noticed a baby skunk on our property for the last few days and it appears to not have a mother. Skunks of this size are never seen without a mother close by.

We decided to rescue it after calling the SPCA. They told us to throw a towel over them and pick them up inside the towel with gloves, place them into a box and call back.

After calling back they told us they have no way to help the skunks or us. Now we need to take them to a wildlife refuge.

Turns out there were 2 of them.

Both of them sprayed a little amount at the time of capture but only a towel and gloves got the smell. Claire still smells pretty :)

yeah they are cute, why not keep um and get the stink glands removed!

yeah man, have the stink glands fixed and they make cool pets. a friend of mine had one and he was cool as fuck.

Skunks are awesome little creatures. They don't smell as bad as a paper mill :)

One day I went out to feed my horses, and I saw them at the back fence moviing around with thier heads down, going back and forth. I had no idea what they were doing. The next day I went to feed them, and they walked up, and I almost fell over from the smell. They got sprayed. And it lasted about 2 months.

Take them to the Vet and have the sacks removed so they cant spray and you can keep them as pets, they actually make pretty cool pets my buddy has one and they love attention

Yep same family.. my ferret is nibbling on my feet as I type.. get them descented, and keep them.

Brad i give you TONS of props for doing that, taking them to a place and giving them the time of day, most assholes run em over with their cars and laugh about it (same with deers, racoons, squirrels, etc etc, it's so sad)
