Do you guys look @ Consumer Report before buying a car?
 

Are they accurate about the reviews they have?

I never really do I am a compulsive buyer

LOL, i dont want to jump it and buy it so fast! Im not a compulsive buyer like BT over there.

I always feel like an old man reading consumer reports, but their reviews are unbiased and accurate.

I did once, several years ago. It seemed to be very accurate but I totalled the car within a year, so never got a chance to check out how accurate they were for long term stuff

yea, but by the time you get done, 2008 edition will come out, and you will have to start over...

i don't read consumer reports for cars. i usually just judge on performance.

if something breaks, you can always replace it with something better.

plus if you're buying new or certified pre-owned you get a warranty.

I read consumer reports before I bought my car. But the best thing to do is rent the cars you are looking to buy for like 2-4 days. That way you will really get the feel for them.

yes, i think their reviews are very good. i even used them to pick out appliances for my kitchen. A little research can't hurt - right? :)
