I know she may not be your type of girl for allot of you, but this is Shari Yates, an NPC level figure competitor and she is also 42 years old. She looks damn good for her age. I took these yesterday at about 6-7 pm with the canon 20d and a 70-200mm lense. The horse in the photos is my stallion. He did pretty good but could have stod still allot better.

Yea - I like them a lot. It really helps to have a pretty subject with a nice body to work with huh?

The only thing I might suggest is to pay more attention to your background. Its easy to allow something in the background appear to "stick out of your subjects head"...like in the last picture. That bush behind her head distracts me from her face when you could have placed her head in that open space to the right of the picture.

Once you get your lighting and your exposure set - all your technical shit is done. Now it's time to create art and that means paying attention to all the aesthetic things in the picture and not worrying about the technical shit anymore. Your eye should be darting around the frame from side to side - from top to bottom looking for anything that is out of place. It's ok to have a bush behind your subjects head but only if your shooting at an aperture that'll throw it out of focus. Otherwise, if your shooting at small apertures, more of your background will be in focus and then watching the background becomes more important!

I think you did an excellent job on these though - keep us posted on your photo-adventures!
