Where to have T-Shirts printed with my own logo
 

Need a place that will allow me to submit my company logo and have them print them for me on tshirts. I would need only 100 t-shirts initially, and need someone that does a very nice job. CafePress.com is a good one, but they are very expensive. Any place that does it for cheaper? thanx :glugglug

This is a good thread... I'll be at internext and I also need some shirts made. I wanna deal with someone cheap that has done solid work. I'm searched yahoo and a few other places but I'd rather do biz with referrals :thumbsup

Look local. By that I mean look around in your community for a company that will do the printing for you. I was looking for the same thing a couple months ago, and found a local company hungry for business. They gave me a great deal, and the results were awesome.

I happened to run a mini-Tshirt empire before going into the adult biz. Here's what to do:

- Get ahold of Broder Brothers, or some similar wholesaler for blank Tshirts. This will save you a fortune...all Tshirt printers will at least double the price of the blank if you get it through them. The blank will cost you under $2.00 each in relatively small quantity through a wholesaler. You might have to provide a tax-resale number to prove you're in business as Broder Brothers doesn't "sell to the public."

- Second, get HIGH-QUALITY blanks like Hanes Beefy-T's or some other brand. The extra $0.25 - $0.50 you spend will be VERY worth it...and you should STILL be under $2.00 per blank, depending on the color you require for your blank T (some colors cost more than others).

- As for the printing itself...printers charge you per color, and quantity will lower the cost. The biggest expense in having Tshirts printed is the press setup...so shorter runs cost a comparative fortune than larger runs. For example, I never did 4-color process printing...most of our stuff was 6 colors. In quantity as low as 144, I never paid more than $1.78/shirt for printing. This makes the total cost per shirt under $4.00 (actually, about $4.50 when you factor in press setup fees, if they charge you one. Some won't, most will) in small quantity. When you get into doing 1,000's my cost was actually under $2.50 (I think the most I paid was $2.32) including the blank shirts. You will likely also be charged a screen setup fee per screen (color). DON'T PAY MORE THAN $20/screen!

WHERE to have them printed:

Local is great but will be very pricy compared to a company that is very well established and does huge volume. The printing industry is kinda like the Internet in that it doesn't matter where in the world you are. You buy the blanks through someone like Broder Bros. and they need to be shipped...have them shipped to the printer directly. When the job is finished the printer will bulk ship them to wherever you need them. Cost per case of 72 is usually under $7.00 because the big print houses have contracts with all the carriers and they always get a "pallette rate."

Do a search on "screen printers" or "screen printing." BEWARE any company that does "promotional items" or "corporate promotional" printing...they will be the most expensive. You want a "contract printer" or "custom printer" for the textile industry! I found one:

They are priced moderate. I just wanted to provide one example...you do your own search and find tons more. I can say this, don't pay more than these guys...you should be able to find cheaper if you look hard enough. Check this and find your own gem:
