LiveDose 07-02-2006 10:24 PM

Looking good man. In the first shot if you a add a back or fill light you can lessen or eliminate the shadow on the ceiling.

Keep shooting! That is the best way to learn and improve...

I will try to grab the Camera settings fom the RAW files... as for lighting... almost all good ones where shot with the on-camera 580EX speedlite.. I also had a strobe, but somehow, the speedlite was easier to adjust quicker...

J. Falcon 07-03-2006 05:39 AM

Very nice shots. You're almost a pro :thumbsup

CIVMatt 07-03-2006 06:00 AM

First, like a poster said add another light in back, maybe behind couch facing up to light the background. Also the images seem a little soft, are you using a kit lens or smother cheap? Maybe up the quality of your glass, it just seem not as sharp as it should be.

Anyways good stuff, look forward to seeing more

Good looking stuff.

I just learned a cheap and effective lighting secret. If you have yallow lights you can hang a whit shower curtain in front of them to diffuse it. Works wonders on skin tones.

Hm, how about the heat? Could it light up in flames or melt?

So I am wondering, is shooting outdoor a little more tough than indoors? I mean considering the evil sunlight and all.

WWC-Pajio 07-03-2006 09:48 AM

...nice pix! :thumbsup

latinasojourn 07-03-2006 10:47 AM

all good.

forget technique and be inventive visually. throw out the rule book, edit ruthlessly, and only show your best work.

Richard Avedon (rip) discarded 95% of his shots.

Right

Anytime you have full control of a lighting suitation you're better off.
