The world cup comes every four years and the entire world watches.
Regular season Football games are every sunday and monday and not that many people watch/care about them.

Go back to the weeks before, day of, and days after the Superbowl here at GFY. We had just as many threads.

Not interested in watching some fatwobblegut try and benchpress anything - benchpressing is not an indication of how interesting a sport is to watch. Nor is size or weight. On your scale of what is good about sport Sumo wrestling would be the most watched sport on the planet.

I appreciate that for the majority of Americans it must be frustrating that everyone else on the planet has zero interest in fat padded man bounce off each other (although the show Gladiators was quite popular and did have similarities) and that Football is a universally loved sport but its just one of things and the trick is not too post dumb threads and have a temper tantrum over it.
