Just saw the new Samsung 50" 1080i DLP's. Best TV image display I've ever seen. Looks like you are right there.

Even better than that top of the line new Sony posted a few months back.

i like dlp but technology changes daily

Calvinguy 07-02-2006 12:37 AM

I stick with a good old fashioned CRT. Nothing beats it.

the 1080p is better and more compatible with upcoming tech. and as far as dlp goes, some people see the rainbow and some people don't, so it's kind of a crapshoot.

personally, i believe LCD is the better technology. no burn-in. may not matter for some people, but i will always play video games on my tv.

it's true. crt will always display a superior picture, but a 60" crt (if they made one) would weigh 300 pounds or more and would be over two feet deep. So, it all depends on what kind of space you have and how big you need to go, i guess.

it will surpass it eventually. CRT is a dead technology.
