Fuck can't decide!!!

I am buying another Mac G5. Should I just get the Dual 2.3 or should I shell out the extra and get the Quad 2.5?

Anyone work with both and see a big difference? or is the 2.3 good enough?

ARRRGGGH, I hate these sort of decisions.

Try not to crash you comp as you do that.

what are you going to be doing with it to warrant getting the extra juice? I can't think of many applications that the 2.3 wouldnt be MORE than sufficient for ... seems to me that it wouldn't warrant the extra cost. You could do without it, unless you just want to feel good about yourself and impress people.

Mostly editing video and making DVDs.

It's about $1k more. But not sure I need it, i have looked at a lot of turn key editing systems and most of them are 2.3 duals with FCP. So I think I will just get that 2.3 and spend the extra $1k on beefing it up.

Thanks I'll take that as a compliment. Being ambidextrous is a sign of higher intelligence & skill.

Depends on your budget. If the money flows freely then it's pretty easy choice.

To all you Mac haters. Of all those who switch to Mac none ever go back to a using a PC. Of all the Mac users who switch to PC almost all come back to using a Mac. I have both. Literally everything gets done on the Macs. I just fire up the old PC every once in a while to see what my website looks like to the rest of the world.

Money is not the issue, and I don't have a budget. I don't buy things I don't need. If the Quad is over kill and a dual 2.3 will do the trick nicely, why waste the money when I can spend it on other things.
