how do you think it would hold up for adult I guess is the question, specially since you have experience with it.

Thanks!

Well, it has basically all the features, including links that don't really point to the actual location of the file, but to the DB.

Features allow you to program new additions to an article, starting at a time when you want.

Templates are relatively easy to adapt ( I did this one in 10 minutes, and yes I know, I didn't finish mysite ...: http://adult.pdghosting.com ).

I has a feature to render the pages SE friendly ...

Could be worth a try for adult.

I tried and am using on a paysite http://www.phpwcms.de/.

Nice features, simple , can have many templates as per section, and so on ...

Thank you...I have been wondering if its worth the learning curve for paysites and you answered my question.

Thanks brudda...

I would STRONGLY suggest against joomla for a pay sit very strongly I have been using mambo/joomla since the early early day

lotta security risk etc i use it for free sites

in fact I have seen many a whole server r00ted from bad joomla setups

including some ran by its best programmers

http://www.joomlahive.com/

example of chief programmer still hacked

pussyserver - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-01-2006 09:37 PM

mambome.com is also hacked and they have a bot on IRC servin up warez on the server

they dont even know

a bird told and showed me this

I run it on a few sites but I am a CISSP so........

well I just advise against it unless you truly know what you are doing

Thanks for that advice...cant afford to have my server rooted thats for sure...

Im a UNIX admin from WAY back and still dont want to deal with issues like that...Thanks

I guess I will stick with dreamweaver

if you do decide to take the leap do some research on cross-site scripting and SQL-injection vulnerabilities mostly plus your regular PHP stuff and you can get by. I run apache from jail and execute joom scripts as a user created by the jail account

then I lock the whole sonofabitch down in iptables except 22, 80, 21, except in special cases others too

before the programmers all had a big bitch fest and forked the project mambo was moving along really godd now you got projects forkin all over the place and hackers runnin crazy on the distro server backend

bad biz

gotta be careful. on some of the iRC groups I visit every now and again I see full dedicated servers completed 0wned because of some cool new script or the other the admin installed as root

and walked away

its funny
