My new ride

Well, it looks sort of like this, anyway (linkhotten):

http://www.davo.com/2000-2003_Site/s...ges/Green2.jpg

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, sea foam green (I think, it's darkish with metallic flecks), nicer color than in the picture. Only 8,668 miles.

It's not very pimp by GFY standards but it's the first car I have personally purchased in years and years, pretty much since I got my license revoked nine years ago. I'm happy.

I already put 200+ miles on it driving to Kingman, Arizona because that's the nearest Cracker Barrel and I had a hankerin' for some chicken 'n' dumplings.

Thanks, I've always liked the Grand Prix. This car is practically in mint condition with < 9K miles on it. I wasn't even planning to buy when I went to the lot but you know how that goes...

Vitasoy 07-02-2006 12:43 PM

Congrats on the new ride

SpaceAce 07-02-2006 12:44 PM

Thanks for all the congrats. It's kind of weird driving around in my own car after so many years. It took me forever to get around to having my license reinstated and by then I was used to not owning my own vehicles.

The actual color is dark green with metallic flecks, not the lime color in the picture. I just haven't taken any pictures, yet.

I asked, he claimed not to know. I feel good that it isn't a salvage title or anything. I suspect it may have been a seasonal car. A lot of people with second residences out here also keep vehicles and those vehicles spend most of their time sitting in garages. I checked out the car as thoroughly as I could with my bare hands and eyes and everything looked good. The engine and the car are both pristine.

Thanks, I like it :) I must have bought the only one in the whole country to come in this dark green color because I can't find a single picture on the internet that matches my car.

We've put about a billion miles on some Toyotas and I do like them but I also like having a clue what's going on under the hood, too, which I never do with our Toyotas. The engine on this Grand Prix is laid out so nicely for service; spark plugs and wires, air cleaner, all easy to get at.
