Hyatt Regency or Grand Hyatt are both decent.

I'd hit the marina area (filmore & lombard), lots of bars n hot chicks around there

broadway isn't bad, used to be pretty ghetto... lots of police on the beat now cleaned it up a bit

1015 folsom if ur into dance/techno type music

mission / valencia has a lot of cool bars

misson rock isn't bad but lots of thuggy types there, not sure what ur into

hit up citysearch.com and get some info, that would probably be your best bet
