Can you batch reduce a huge group of pictures by 50%?

When I buy content the pics are WAY too big.
Is there a way to just reduce them all by 50%?
Without Photoshop, because Ive never been able to do a good batch process in photoshop, and when photoshop saves the images they'll be too heavy anyways.

easiest way to do that is with Batch in Irfanview

http://www.irfanview.com

its free.

If you can't figure out Photoshop I'm not even gonna recommend Fireworks' actions (which btw kick Photoshop's pussy-ass actions), but you might want to try irfanview, and here you have a neat tutorial on how to do it.

Without a doubt, THE best batch processing program for photos, right after photoshop.

Crop, resize, watermark, color correct, you name it, it can automate it.
