Granted, England did earn my respect with the way they played in the game, they played better with 10 men than Portugal played with 11, they lost my respect with their atrocious penalty kicking. YOu have world class players making 20 million a year, missing 3 out of 4 penalty kicks. That is an absolute disgrace. Add the fact that Wayne Rooney cost them the game, and their coach took out Beckham, and then Lennon, and you have a losing squad.. Everyone that played but didn't miss a penalty kick has my respect. Now Portugal can go out and get killed by Brazil.

You're right. But for me, Eriksson has the main guilt. He played with Rooney instead of Crouch, and introduced Carragher only for a penalty kick, which is a newbie mistake.

Beckham need to come out as he wasn't running any more. Last game he was puking on the field. Crouch did a pretty good job but they were short a man.

The ref told Rooney to shut up and he kept on running his mouth. I think he was yelling "Throw Me Out Please" or at least that's what he was saying in his own way.

You should respect those players that had the guts to actually take a penalty, there's no way you can judge someone when they've run their arses off for 120mins then under the pressure from the stadium and the entire country back home to score 1 on 1. I know I couldn't do it, no matter how much they paid me. The Portugal goalie has always had the better of us with penalties and once again.

Rooney shouldn't have been sent off, yellow card or a talking to, Ronaldo (Rooneys own teammate back at Man U) ran to the ref to get him sent off, what kind of cunt does that?? Disgrace! Sure Ronaldo will get a great response when he gets back to England, hopefully even a left hook from Rooney.
