Anyone ever seen the Counting Crows live?

I have said for the past 10 years that they are one of the great bands of all time, last night I saw them at the Verizon Amphitheatre and that pretty much confirmed my feelings.

They write music with passion, didn't play more than one song in tune with the album releases, filled the place with energy, ....

If you don't have one of their live albums or ever get the opportunity to see their show, I recommend it.:thumbsup

I am a HUGE Counting Crows fan! I've yet to get the opportunity to see them live, but I have a ton of their live tracks.

I agree without a doubt, definately one of the greatest bands of all time.

Thank god, this place is not music morgue.

You know, they got a lot of mainstream fame, some of which was due to Adam Duritz dating starlettes, however, they are highly underrated for what they have accomplished.

There is simply no one doing that.

Musically, they are better than the beatles.

He jumped on the piano last night and took that place over. At times, he goes into what sounds like spoken word and then transcends the place with what sounds like the opera.

I waited to see them for 10 years.

That was simply amazing. I felt like I was some place else for 2 hours.

This thread makes me want to boot up Limewire and check them out.

Thanks.

You know another "obscure" band that I really like? Rusted Root.

Thanks.

Find the bootlegged live stuff. They go off live. The studio stuff is amazing, but the live is off the charts. And the guy is obviously living the free spirit life. They just tour to promote charities, they never mentioned their albums.

I will check out rusted root BA.

"Send Me On My Way"
"Ecstacy"

Are some of their more popular tracks, but they've got a lot of really good ones.

Just remembered another great "obscure" band to check out that I listen to: The Clarks

"Hey You"
"Snowman"
