Finally Watching TV Again...
Actually not,... some of you may have seen my posts saying I havent watched TV in 4 months, and lately I was wondering when I pass my TV's in every room I have been tempted to turn them on, but would always back down as in, "I'm not giving in, fuck TV"
Well Cartoon network is doing a one month Bugs Bunny tribute, and I just had to.... TV has been on for 3 days without changing a channel or turning it off,... too bad im not in the room to watch it hahaha... I just cant watch tv. But I broke my record of 2 months anyway... after this month of Bugs is over, Ill no doubt go 6 months, its gonna be nice. :thumbsup RIp Chuck Jones. |
lol - I cant go without TV for 3 days max :D

Seriously. |
Usually the TV is just on in the background while we both work at the computers. My hubby will ask me to turn it on if it is off. I think he likes the background noise. We could prolly substitute music as background noise but we just haven't tried.
I do need my weekly injections of ER and Star Trek so there are a few things I don't like to go without. I imagine I'd get used to not watching them though if I had to. |
I also always have the TV on in the background. I like the background noise of the TV as well. Usually during the afternoon, my TV is on Comedy Central. I sometimes try to watch Sci-Fi channel but they always show cheesy mini-series and horribly low-budget movies. They only show good stuff late at night (Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 was on last week at 1 AM though heavily censored).

Well I must confess, although I have not watched TV I HAVE watched movies, I didnt say I couldnt keep my hands off my DVD collection hahaha,... no way. I have a bunch of DVD box sets, (Nightmare On Elm Street, twilight Zone, Entire SOuth Park collection etc ...) maybe that helps me stay away from TV... DVDs kick ass.

No TV since December here. And still going.
Good thing it broke down. :) |

Simple concept. |
My TV is on 24/7...
If am sleeping and there's a power failure I wake up... Well I must admit don't know if it's the TV going off or the UPS alarm... |

I keep it on in the background (The Simpsons).
I'm busy and important too! waaa Relax Fletch |
yes same here background
|
5 years without it and going strong (although I do watch DVDs, just no regular TV).
Every once in a while I'll be somewhere and they'll have a TV on playing some lame ad. Anyone who's quit smoking and now hates the smell of cigarette smoke will know how those brief reencounters with adverculture make me feel, lol. :1orglaugh Jak |
TV and radio are on from the minute I wake up, to the minute I go to sleep. I would much rather have Maynard screaming in the background than listen to the construction site across my street and the busy freeway right behind that. Half the time, my favorite song will be playing and I won't notice until the end. Example, Parabola just ended. Doh!
Man, when I lived with my parents I NEVER watched TV. Now there are a few that I HAVE to see. Someone save me! Go Lakers! |
