Which pisses you off worse:

The initial shitty act, or the lying about it afterwards?
You know what I mean.

I tend to go for the second. I just LOVE people who make the mistake of thinking I'm stupid and telling me BADLY contrived lies to cover up some lame nonsense they've pulled. In the vast majority of cases I wouldnt have even been upset about the initial action, it's the fucking lying that pisses me off. It's insulting.

I have a LONG memory for that sort of thing.

I can't stand a fucking liar.

Everyone makes mistakes. It's how you handle and learn from those mistakes that defines your character. :2 cents:

selena 06-29-2006 02:42 PM

Oh, the lying about it afterwards, for sure.

I have drilled that into my sons' heads...

if you mess up, you better own up. Because if you lie about it...when I catch you...you will be in 100 times more trouble.

G-Rotica 06-29-2006 02:44 PM

Liars are the worst. It's the ultimate form of disrespect. Basically it's saying "I think you're stupid enough to believe this line of bullshit".

Agreed. And as Jim says...I have a VERY long memory when it comes to liars.

jimthefiend 06-29-2006 02:48 PM

Someone who I respected told me a completely pointless lie to cover up some minor issue today. I'm VERY irritated about the whole thing; 25 times more than I would have been over the issue in the first place.

I'm so fucking insulted by the assumption that I was gullible enough to believe the stupid lies told me that I wanna fucking throttle said individual.

hova 06-29-2006 02:49 PM

Liars are the worst kind, specialy the kind that think they can get away with it

sherie 06-29-2006 02:50 PM

Lying afterwards. Stand up and own your shit, lying cowards suckballs and need a good chop to the throat!

Dude...

Its not a lie, I put the check in the mail 3 weeks ago and the mailman finally came to my house today and picked it up. You should have it in 3 to 4 days... I swear

2HousePlague 06-29-2006 02:53 PM

Probably the most impressive thing I could hear somebody say is: "Hey, bro..I fucked up... It won't happen again... Let's fix." So seldom happens, though.

I have never understood this: why is it that lets say in a relationship when 1 partner cheats on the other you feel the urge to tell them the wrong you did?
I mean you shouldnt tell her/him because you feel so bad to make yourself feel better. I mean you should feel like shit you cheated on that person. Keep those terrible feelings inside. You don't deserve to feel better. LOL
What they dont know wont hurt them!

Doctor Dre 06-29-2006 03:28 PM

The lying after the mistake sure makes it 100x worse . Most of the time I don't even give a shit about the mistake.s

Scott McD 06-29-2006 03:39 PM

Some lies can't be helped, but yeah it does usually always make things worse...

agreed. and the memory thing is true too. you never forget it. Example:

When I was a teenager I wanted to go see a particular new movie, so I called my friend and asked him if he wanted to go. Instead of saying that he doesn't want to see the movie, He says "I went to see it with my brother already and it was so fucking stupid that we got up and left. Don't go see it, it's stupid."

So, I went by myself and thought it was very funny, especially the first few minutes. A few months later it came out on video and he tells me one day, "you have got to watch this movie. I just rented it and this scene at the beginning is freaking hilarious." I guess he didn't remember his lie, so he was busted.

I never said anything about the lie, but I never respected him after that. And he was one of my closest friends.

marketsmart 06-29-2006 09:17 PM

my father taught me that honesty is the best policy.. he told me that people may be angry, dissapointed, or not understanding, but in the end they will respect you for being honest...

and for the most part its been true throughout my life....
