Airbrushing Ass Pimples

Ok lets face it, your shooting some content, the chick pulls down her clothes & BAM! Pimple city.

I seriously think about 20-40% of all women have atleast one pimple on their ass.

So heres my question, how the fuck do you get rid of them after the shoot is over & on the hard-drive. I've tried gosh&blurr, toning it down, but then it just ends up looking fake & airbrushed.

Any tips?

Dawgy the girl needs to have one spot on her ass without a pimple for it to work :) That might be your problem.

Good idea. Let's see some samples before and after too.

I'd like to see some examples of how you get rid of facial lines and eye bags too while you're at it.

Take an amateur and make her Matrix quality, then show us how.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I have tried using the clone tool before, but it usually looks fucked up when I'm done. I want to know the secrets of the porn pros! :)

Use a clone tool. It doesn't have to be Photoshop. I do it with Paint Shop Pro because PSP displays directories full of photos as an array of thumbnails (the "Browse" option) and Photoshop does not. In some cases, the Push Brush (in PSP) is a better choice than the clone tool. Sometimes, I think it's better to tell models that if they have a breakout, let you know and assure them you'll schedule them a few days later. I usually have a list of models who are either waiting to be shot or are happy to fill in on rather short notice.

Let me have a copy afterwards. I can cope with sloppy seconds if I have to.

Here's a better tip than all the above.

Most girls get an outbreak of pimples just prior to having a period. Ask her when her period is due. If she complains, which is very unlikely because she has lived with them for 6-30 years, tell her why.

Some girls get pimples just prior to periods.
Some girls get moody, just before menstrating.
We do not want any "mishaps" on the shoot do we?

She will not think you are being personal, rather that you are a professional who knows what he is doing and not at all phased by a womans cycle.

Try to book her 7-5 days before she starts menstrating. She will be ovulating. More open, receptive and sexual. We are trying to shoot something that looks vaguely sexy aren't we?

A tip : For the best results, adjust the original source!

pop the things, then slap some make-up on'em.

Call me 1st and I'll inspect'em for you the models, no charge.
Will be a charge if I have to pop'em...

So far, this should work the best... you are working with some makeup on their faces, why not give them a little help on every other spot that you need to adjust?

Get yourself a make up artist to help you and you'll have a lot less work to do retouching the photos.

the healing brush in photoshop 7 works even better than the clone tool...great for removing wrinkles also

Some people have more blemishes than others. The best thing is to look for models with good clean skin and few blemishes. Whenever you interview models you should have them strip so you can see if they have a lot of pimples.

Otherwise you will have to pay for hours of re-touching with Photoshop. Plus, unless you are a real skilled re-toucher, it will look re-touched beacuse it will appear too "painted" with the real detail lost.

People with olive skin tend to have fewer pimples. People with fair skin sometimes have terrible blotchy skin. Some of the best models are those girls with blonde hair and a tan.

If someone has only slight blemishes you can put a little diffusion on the lens, but in general my advice would be to pass on somebody with horrible ugly skin.
